Showed how to study a slide-heavy medical course with NotebookLM
What they did
Waleed recalls an oral medicine course with about 180 slides per topic across roughly 12 lectures, then shows how he would now load the files into NotebookLM, chat with chosen sources, and generate a mind map, a quiz and an Egyptian-Arabic podcast-style overview on root canal treatment.
How it went
He says he was amazed and rates it far better than ChatGPT for studying thanks to its study tools. He notes the free plan gives the same features he shows.
Worth knowing
A demo by a graduate, not a semester of results: no grades or time measurements. Medical content generated from slides still needs checking against the originals, and he advises clean source recordings.
