Made a tiny handmade gift book with Midjourney illustrations
What they did
Stanko Tadić generated the illustrations for a miniature bilingual hardcover for his wife in Midjourney using a style reference, then traced and inked them by hand and bound the book himself.
How it went
The project took about six weeks, roughly two of them spent generating images at 10 to 30 attempts per picture, and about 2.5 hours for final assembly. He does not give a cost.
Worth knowing
The AI images needed heavy editing and redrawing, a halftone conversion lost the hand-drawn feel, and he solved ink smudging, glue damage and uneven holes by trial and error, even 3D-printing a drilling jig.
