Asked three AI assistants to fix the same broken spreadsheet
What they did
Nolen Jonker gave ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini his messy article-tracking sheet, which had typos, text dates, minutes logged as hours and shuffled word counts, and asked each to find and fix the errors.
How it went
ChatGPT rebuilt the workbook and fixed the formula errors after one retry, Claude returned a fixed file and asked about unclear columns, and Gemini found most problems but fixed none. None fully caught the shuffled block of word counts.
Worth knowing
A qualitative test on one sheet of about 60 rows, with no error counts. He still had to nudge ChatGPT on one definition, verify a value Claude filled in, and correct a wrong flag, and Gemini left all the edits to him.

Audit this spreadsheet before changing anything. List every problem: wrong formulas, text that should be numbers or dates, mismatched units, outliers and duplicated rows. For each one give the cell range and your proposed fix.
Ask me about any column whose meaning is unclear. Then apply only the fixes I approve and leave a cell comment on every cell you changed. Read the original
