Agentuna Agentuna

Best AI browser agent for forms, comparisons and bookings

Short answer: Claude in Chrome scores highest in our provisional ranking: it works inside your own browser, so it can act on the sites you are already logged into, and it asks before sensitive steps (Pro from $20/mo). Manus (free credits, Standard $20/mo) and Perplexity's Comet browser follow; Comet is free to download but its assistant needs Pro ($17/mo billed annually). ChatGPT drops to last: OpenAI retired agent mode in August 2026, and ChatGPT Work (paid plans) now browses with a cloud browser that cannot log in to sites or make payments. Prisca Onyebuchi (Substack) · Claude

Have Claude in Chrome edit and move newsletter posts for you

What they did
A Substack writer left Claude in Chrome three editing jobs in her publishing editor: add linked paragraphs to a live post without emailing subscribers, move a portfolio post into Substack with its links, and add a heading to an older post.
How it went
She reports all three were finished when she returned. The agent fixed its own mistake on the first job (text merged into the wrong paragraph) and caught a wrongly chosen comments setting on the second.
Worth knowing
Self-reported by one writer; the jobs were small, the post names no time saved, and she checked the results herself afterwards.

Let Claude in Chrome set up analytics and look up a QuickBooks account

What they did
Ernest Chiang gave Claude for Chrome (research preview) two jobs: configure Google Tag Manager and GA4, and find one account's transaction history in QuickBooks. It worked by screenshot, step by step, asking for approval per domain.
How it went
Both jobs were completed, but each took about 10 to 15 minutes against 2 to 3 minutes by hand. In Edge it also renamed his tab group, closed other tabs in it and opened new tabs on its own.
Worth knowing
Early preview from September 2025 on Edge; the author expects speed to improve and did not name the human fixes he made.

Jonathan Stark (personal blog) · ChatGPT

Hand ChatGPT agent mode a written checklist for a chore

What they did
Jonathan Stark wrote a detailed step-by-step procedure for a fairly involved task and let ChatGPT's agent mode work through it while he watched.
How it went
After about ten minutes of watching the slow progress, he saw that following his own checklist by hand would be roughly ten times faster than his old way of doing the task. He says the real gain came from writing the checklist, not from the agent's run.
Worth knowing
A very short post: the task is not named and it does not say whether the agent finished or how good its output was. ChatGPT agent mode was retired in August 2026, so this shows a past workflow, not a current feature.

Let a browser agent compare three options for a trip or purchase, then stop before paying
I want to compare, not buy. Find exactly 3 options for: {WHAT YOU WANT, e.g. a round-trip economy flight from {CITY} to {CITY}}.
Hard limits: {DATES OR DATE RANGE}; budget up to {AMOUNT} USD per {person/night/item}; must have: {e.g. free cancellation, carry-on included, 16 GB RAM}.
Search only these sites: {SITE 1}, {SITE 2}, {SITE 3}. Do not open any other site.
Rules:
- Never click Buy, Book, Checkout, Pay or any payment or address form. Stop and ask me if a site requires it to show a price.
- Do not enter my personal details anywhere. If a site asks for a login, pause and tell me.
- Prefer options that meet every must-have; if fewer than 3 qualify, say so instead of relaxing the limits.
Return a table with these columns: option, site, total price in USD (with taxes and fees if shown), key details ({e.g. departure and arrival times, cancellation policy, warranty}), direct link to the exact option, and one line on the trade-off.
Under the table write which option you would pick and why, in 2 sentences. Then stop.

FAQ

Can a browser agent pay or log in for me?

It depends on the agent. Claude in Chrome and Perplexity Comet work in your own browser, so they can use sites you are already logged into, and they stop and ask before a login, a payment or sending a message. ChatGPT's cloud browser (inside ChatGPT Work, paid plans) cannot log in to sites or make payments at all, so it only handles public pages. We recommend doing the sensitive step yourself either way, then letting the agent continue. Never paste card numbers or passwords into the chat.

Agent in my own browser or in a cloud computer: which is better?

Claude in Chrome and Perplexity Comet act inside your own browser, so they see the sites you are already logged into and you watch every click. ChatGPT's cloud browser (in ChatGPT Work), Manus and Genspark run in a cloud computer, which is safer for your accounts and can keep working after you close the tab, but it has to log in again on each site. ChatGPT's cloud browser cannot log in at all, which is why it ranks last here.

Is there a free browser agent?

Manus and Genspark give free credits that cover a few tasks. ChatGPT Work, Claude in Chrome and Comet Assistant are on paid plans. For automations that run without a browser, see our first AI agent ranking.

Does anyone pay for these positions?
