Fixed robotic Arabic ElevenLabs voice-overs by prepping text by hand
What they did
A creator explains why stock ElevenLabs voices sound artificial in Arabic and shows his fix: create your own voice, add diacritics with a chat model and then review them word by word, and rewrite the text so the tool pronounces it correctly (only commas and periods, English-origin words like 'video' spelled phonetically, a few Arabic words respelled).
How it went
He plays before-and-after audio and claims 92% of users apply the tool wrongly; he gives no source for that figure. He also says YouTube can refuse to monetise videos that use widely heard stock voices.
Worth knowing
It takes real manual work per script: diacritics, punctuation and spelling tweaks. The statistic and the monetisation claim are his and unverified, and the video ends by offering a free prompt booklet.
Try it yourself with ElevenLabs
Replace anything in [brackets] with your details.
Prepare this Arabic text for text-to-speech narration. Add full diacritics without changing the meaning. Leave the last letter before each comma or period without a vowel mark. Replace question marks, exclamation marks and colons with periods. Write foreign-origin words the way they are pronounced, in Arabic letters. Text: [paste] Read the original
