Turned 470 photos of books into a digital bookshelf

What they did

Marius Balaj had Claude Code build a web app that shows his personal library as a shelf of book spines. A vision model reads titles from photos, Open Library supplies covers and page counts, and a second model call scores whether each cover is good enough.

How it went

He photographed 470 books in one afternoon and ended with 460 in the catalog, with the vision pass getting about 90% of the metadata right.

Worth knowing

He fixed the remaining roughly 10% by hand and repaired 10 covers in Photoshop. Poor lighting and rare editions confused the model, and one novel was misread as a Soviet farming manual. Hours and cost are not given.

Build a small web app that turns photos of my bookshelf into a catalog. Steps: 1) send each photo to a vision model and extract title, author and publisher into JSON, 2) look up covers and page counts from a free book database, 3) flag low-confidence or low-quality results in a review list for me to fix by hand.
Show me the review list first, before you design the visual shelf.

Let an AI agent build a 3D museum showcase site alone

Hady Raie gave Claude Opus 5.5 (as named in his video) one prompt for a 3D interactive showcase of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and left it for about 90 minutes. It made its own plan, generated images, turned them into 3D, wrote the code, screenshotted and fixed its own bugs, and published the site.

Built an AI personal-trainer web app with Claude Code in 34 minutes

In an Arabic walkthrough, Abdallah Khraisat builds a web app with sign-up, login and a database that generates a weekly workout plan from the equipment each user has at home. He builds it all in Claude Code, connects an AI model through an OpenRouter key, tests it, and publishes it through Hostinger.

What happens when a coding agent tries to fix a staging error alone

PocketOS, a small software firm serving car-rental companies, had a Cursor agent (running Claude Opus 4.6, per ABC News) hit a credential mismatch in staging. It chose on its own to fix it by deleting a Railway volume.

Vibe-coded a mini app in an hour, then needed 100 hours to ship it

Mac Budkowski scoped an idea with ChatGPT and built Cryptosaurus with Claude Opus: a Farcaster mini app that turns a profile picture into a dino-styled image, generated through the Gemini API, which users can mint for $2.
